B.J. Upton and Justin Upton are mired in very rough years. B.J. in a contract year is hitting  just .242 for the Tampa Bay Rays and Justin is hitting just .271 in a year where many believed Upton would take his place among baseball’s elite.

Both of those things taken into consideration, Justin and Melvin Emmanuel, otherwise known as B.J. , combined for one of the most amazing feats in MLB history Friday night.

The two became the first brothers in MLB history to hit their 100th homerun of their career on the same night. Yes I understand, that it isn’t mind blowing that they happened to be the first pair of siblings to hit their 100th homerun on the same night, because not that many siblings have done it, but it is still pretty neat to see.

Justin took Kyle Kendrick of the Philadelphia Phillies deep in the second inning, for his 100th career dinger. B.J. went yard in the fourth inning off of Baltimore Orioles starter Tommy Hunter to hit the century mark in big flys.
