Here is a complete list of all the teams in the American League East and what they acquired this year before the July 31st non-waiver trade deadline. The list will also include departures.

Baltimore Orioles

Tampa Bay Rays

Overall, the American League East was fairly quiet. The evident winner would of course have to be the New York Yankees who acquired Ichiro Suzuki for a pair of minor league pitchers.

For much of today and yesterday, the Baltimore Orioles were connected to Phillies starter, Joe Blanton, but medical records and money became an issue and eventually the trade fell through and the Orioles made no moves.

The Red Sox, who, out of almost anyone, needed a starter and bad, but failed to acquire one. They did, however, get Craig Breslow from Arizona for Scott Podsednik and Matt Albers. Breslow played for the Red Sox in 2006.

The Tampa Bay Rays, who speculated by many to start trading off some parts (James Shields, BJ Upton), but stood pat at the deadline. They did however acquire Ryan Roberts last week.

The Toronto Blue Jays, who have been linked to some big name pitchers such as Matt Garza, were also quiet. They did get some bullpen depth in trading for Brad Lincoln and Steve Delabar for Travis Snider and Eric Thames, respectively. They also made probably the biggest trade, as far as number of players go and acquired JA Happ who could help the Blue Jays rotation, Brandon Lyon, bullpen help and David Carpenter for minor league depth.

Winner: New York Yankees

Loser: Baltimore Orioles
