Pirates Acquire Gaby Sanchez

The Pittsburgh Pirates, just hours after acquiring Blue Jays outfielder, Travis Snider, are back at it in acquiring Miami Marlins first baseman Gaby Sanchez. In exchange, the Pirates wll trade outfielder Gorkys Hernandez and their competitive balance draft choice. This all according to FOX Sports’ own, Ken Rosenthal via twitter.
Sanchez, 28, is struggling this season after coming off of a season in which he hit for .266/.352/.427 with 19 home runs and 78 RBIs, in hitting just a pedestrian .202/.250/.206 with a modest 3 home runs and 17 RBIs in 55 games this season.
Hernandez, 24 has played only 25 games in the Major Leagues in his career and has struggled. He’s batting an abysmal .083/.154/.083. In his minor league career, however, he has a career slash line of .281/.343/.377. This season, .257/.353/.346 with 2 home runs and 25 RBIs.
Update: The Pirates will also receive Kyle Kaminska in the deal according to Peter Gammons.
