Nate Schierholtz to be Traded?

San Francisco Giants outfielder, Nate Schierholtz has requested a trade reports Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com (in lowercase letters) via twitter.

Schierholtz, 28 has a line this season of .247/.316/.418 with 5 HR and 15 RBI in 76 games. He is owed $1.3MM this season.

This trade request is due to his limited playing time behind incumbent outfielders, Melky Cabrera, Angel Pagan and Gregor Blanco who have been extremely impressive this season.

A team that could be interested in Schierholtz is the Cincinnati Reds.

Update: Nate Schierholtz denies request a trade.
