Matt Garza will almost definitely be wearing a new uniform by the end of the month.

The Blue Jays, Indians, Reds, Red Sox, Diamondbacks and Cardinals all attended Garza’s start last night. It was one of his most terrible outings of the season. He went 4 innings, giving up 5 runs, walking 3 men while striking out six and gave up three home runs. This outing also included 40+ pitches in the first inning alone.

With scouts watching Friday night, Matt Garza had one of his worst starts of the season.

I’m assuming he probably knew the scouts were there.

Garza will earn $9.5MM this season and will be under whatever team he goes to’s control through next season. The 28-year-old right-hander sports a 4-7 record on the campaign with a 4.32 ERA with 86 K’s (8.3 K/9). Through 16 starts he’s gone 93.2 innings, which averages out to almost 6 innings per outing. Garza also possesses an atroucious HR/FB (home run/fly ball) ratio of 16.7%.
