These are my recaps for Day 2 of the men’s side of  Wimbledon!

Jesse Levine def. Karol Beck 6-4 6-7 6-3 6-2

Recap – Beck was by far the favorite so this is a very good upset win by Levine! Beck had the advantage on aces and winners but still lost. Rating: Levine: 9, Beck: 8, Match: 9

Alex Bogomolov def. #22 Alexandr Dolgopolov Jr. 6-3 6-4 7-5

Recap – Huge upset! Dolgopolov dominated in unforced errors but Bogomolov flat out embarrassed Dologopolov in aces and winners. Rating: Bogomolov: 9, Dolgopolov: 7, Match: 10

Guillermo Garcia-Lopez def. Edouard Roger-Vasselin 6-7 6-3 7-6 5-7 10-8

Recap – Garcia-Lopez had a HUGE advantage on aces and unforced errors and has a slight edge on Roger-Vasselin in winners. Great win by Garcia-Lopez! Rating: Garcia-Lopez: 8, Roger-Vasselin: 8, Match: 8

David Goffin def. #20 Bernard Tomic 3-6 6-3 6-4 6-4

Recap – Goffin had the big edge on aces and winners, while he only had a slight edge on unforced errors. Amazing upset for Goffin over Belgian! I except Goffin to be big time now. Rating: Goffin: 9, Tomic: 7, Match: 10

Malek Jaziri def. Jurgen Zopp 4-6 4-6 6-3 6-4 9-7

Recap – AMAZING COMEBACK! Both players are equally good but this is the exact example of “a comeback out of nowhere”. Just plain AMAZING! Rating: Jaziri: 10, Zopp: 9, Match: 10

#19 Kei Nishikori def. Mikhail Kukushkin 7-5 6-3 6-4

Recap – Nishikori dominated the entire match. The only stat Kukushkin had the advantage on Nishikori were aces. Rating: Nishikori: 8, Kukushkin: 7, Match: 8

Brian Baker def. Rui Machado 7-6 6-4 6-0

Recap – Machado played very well until, obviously, the 3rd and final set. Baker dominated all game. Rating: Baker: 8, Machado: 6, Match: 8

Jarkko Nieminen def. #14 Feliciano Lopez 7-6 3-6 7-6 6-4

Recap – Lopez had an amazing 28 aces compared to Nieminen’s 9 and 68 winners compared to Nieminen’s 45. So the top 15 Spaniard will win, right? Wrong. Nieminen, one of the few “ultimate underdogs”, still won. Rating: Nieminen: 10, Lopez: 9, Match: 10

Benoit Paire def. Matthew Ebden 6-1 6-3 6-7 6-3

Recap – Paire made Ebden look like a joke. Paire had the advantage on every stat on Ebden except unforced errors. Paire could be really good soon.

#10 Mardy Fish def. Rubin Ramirez Hidalgo 7-6 7-5 7-6

Recap – Fish had 24 aces compared to Hidalgo’s 4, Fish had 61 WINNERS compared to Hidalgo’s 18 but Fish had 34 unforced errors while Hidalgo had 18. Fish had this in the bag before it started. Rating: Fish: 10, Hidalgo: 9, Match: 9

Nicolas Mahut def. Paolo Lorenzi (2 days) 6-3 5-7 6-7 7-5 6-2

Recap – AMAZING MATCH! ANY MATCH THAT GOES 2 DAYS IS INSANELY AMAZING! Rating: Mahut: 10, Lorenzi: 9, Match: 10

#12 Nicolas Almagro def. Oliver Rochus (2 days) 6-7 3-6 7-6 6-2 6-4

Recap – ANOTHER 2 DAY MATCH! WOW! Both played fantastic! Rating: Almagro: 10, Rochus: 9, Match: 10

Florent Serra def. Andrey Kuznetsov 3-6 7-6 6-4 4-6 6-4

Recap – Serra only had the advantage on unforced errors, Serra still won. Rating: Serra: 9, Kuznetsov: 8, Match: 9

Grigor Dmitrov def. #32 Kevin Anderson 7-5 7-6 6-7 6-3

Recap – Dmitrov had the advantage on aces, winners and unforced errors. 991 times out of 100, the person with ALL those advantages will win the match. Rating: Dimitrov: 10, Anderson: 9, Match: 10

James Ward def. Pablo Andujar 4-6 6-0 3-6 6-3 6-3

Recap – Ward had the aces and winners advantage while Andujar had the unforced errors advantage. It was almost automatic Ward would win. Rating: Ward: 8, Andujar: 8, Match: 8

Marcos Baghdatis def. Albert Montanes 6-2 6-4 6-4

Recap – Baghdatis made Montanes look horrible. Baghdatis dominated the entire match, beginning to end. Baghdatis had the advantage in aces, winners and unforced errors. Rating: Baghdatis: 10, Montanes: 5, Match: 7

Go Soeda def. Igor Kunitsyn 6-3 6-2 6-1

Recap – Go Soeda dominated this match and had the advantages in the aces, winners and unforced errors. Rating: Soeda: 10, Kunitsyn: 5, Match: 8

#5 Jo-Wilfred Tsonga def. Lleyton Hewitt 6-3 6-4 6-4

Recap – Tsonga made the once-great Aussie, Hewitt, look like he was never good. Rating: Tsonga: 9, Hewitt: 7, Match: 8

#2 Rafael Nadal def. Thomaz Bellucci 7-6 6-2 6-3

Recap – Nadal completely destroyed Bellucci in every stat, as good as Bellucci is, he will never be at the top like Rafa Nadal. Rating: Nadal: 10, Belucci: 7, Match: 9

#9 Juan Martin del Potro def. Robin Haase 6-4 3-6 7-6 7-5

Recap – Haase is a great tennis player and he showed it vs the top 10 Argentine, but he wasn’t good enough. del Potro is too good, simple as that. Rating: del Potro: 9, Haase: 7, Match: 8

Lukas Lacko def. Adrian Ungur 7-6 6-1 6-3

Recap – Lukas Lacko flat out embarrassed Ungur. Lacko is a flat out better overall tennis player, nuff said. Lacko: 9, Ungur: 6, Match: 8

Lukas Rosol def. Ivan Dogic 6-4 3-6 7-6 7-5

Recap – AMAZING match! Both of these players are so good and Rosol was just the flat out better player tonight. Rating: Rosol: 8, Dogic: 7, Match: 10

Bjorn Phau vs Wayne Odesnik 6-3 3-6 7-6 3-6 (to be continued tomorrow due to rain)

Lukasz Kubot vs Tatsuma Ito 7-6 6-3 5-3 (to be continued tomorrow due to rain, Kubot is 1 game away from victory)

#25 Stanislas Wawrinka vs Jurgen Melzer 6-3 6-7 6-2 4-6 4-5 (to be continued tomorrow due to ran, Melzer is 1 game away from victory, Wawrinka is 3 games away from victory)

#27 Phillipp Kohlschreiber def. Tommy Haas 3-6 7-6 6-7 7-6 6-2

Recap – AMAZING match! This match was so back and forth, so fun to watch! Kohlschreiber just pulled it out at the end! Rating: Kohlschreiber: 10, Haas: 10, Match: 10

#4 Andy Murray def. Nikolay Davydanko 6-1 6-1 6-4

Recap – Andy Murray dominated the former #10 in the world for most of the match. Davydanko put up a good fight at the end but it wasnt enough to beat Scotsman. Rating: Murray: 10, Davydanko: 8, Match: 9

#30 Andy Roddick vs Jamie Baker 6-4 4-2 (to be continued tomorrow due to rain)

#7 David Ferrer vs Dustin Brown 7-6 6-4 1-1 (to be continued tomorrow due to rain)

#16 Marin Cilic def. Cedrik-Marcel Stebe 6-4 3-6 6-3 6-2

Recap – It’s Marin Cilic, #16 in the world from Croatia, wasn’t it obvious he’d destroy Stebe like this. Rating: Cilic: 9, Stebe: 6.5, Match: 7.5

Kenny de Schepper def. Matthias Bachinger 6-4 6-2 6-2

Recap – de Schepper made Bachinger look pathetic in this match. I couldn’t believe how bad de Schepper was beating him. I knew de Schepper was gonna beat him but that badly? Wow! Rating: de Schepper: 9, Bachinger: 6, Match: 7

#21 Milos Raonic vs Santiago Giraldo 6-4 6-4 5-4 (to be continued tomorrow, Raonic is 1 game away from victory)

Ivo Karlovic vs Dudi Sela 6-4 6-4 1-1 (to be continued tomorrow)

 Sam Querrey def. Vasek Pospipil 7-5 6-7 6-3 6-4

Recap – Querrey flat out dominated Pospipil. Enough said. Rating: Querrey: 8, Pospipil: 6, Match: 7
